Η στάθμη του νερού διατηρείται πάντα στο ίδιο επιθυμητό επίπεδο μέσω του φλοτέρ που έχει στο εσωτερικό του. Όσο οι μέλισσες απορροφάνε το νερό η απορροφητική επιφάνεια επανέρχεται στη νωπή κατάσταση μέσω του τριχοειδούς φαινομένου. Έτσι το νερό αξιοποιείται στο μέγιστο. Η θερμοκρασία του νερού στην επιφάνεια του απορροφητικού πανιού λόγω της εξάτμισης μειώνεται έτσι το νερό που πίνουν οι μέλισσες είναι δροσερότερο από το νερό δεξαμενής που βρίσκεται στις ίδιες συνθήκες. Συνδέεται σε δίκτυο ή δεξαμενή αλλά μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί και αυτόνομα αφού έχει χωρητικότητα 20 λίτρα νερού. Συνοδεύεται από αυτόματο κούμπωμα ώστε απλά το συνδέετε στο σωλήνα ποτίσματος που έχετε χωρίς να χρειάζεστε οποιοδήποτε εργαλείο. Κατασκευασμένη από πλαστικό κατάλληλο για τρόφιμα.
